Jim Gavin on football rule trials for 2025: It is a challenge but not insurmountable

CHANGE could come soon. At a briefing Friday in Croke Park, it was confirmed any rules changes from Jim Gavin’s new football review committee will be trialled in the 2025 league and championship.

“What we are proposing is that whatever rule enhancements, we trial in 2025 for inter-county preseason, National Football League and the Championship,” said Gavin. “That is the intent of the FRC. These rules would be in place for next year.”
