Killorglin's Laune Rangers and Glenflesk make winning return to Kerry top flight
VETERAN: Dr Crokes' Kieran O'Leary scored a cracking goal on the opening weekend of the Kerry SFL.
Dr Crokes made a winning start to Kerry's SFL campaign under their returning manager Pat O’Shea as they had eight points to spare over local rivals Spa, 3-10 to 0-11. Crokes made an explosive start when Kieran O’Leary struck for a brilliantly taken goal in the second minute. Dr Crokes raced 1-6 to 0-0 clear by the 10th minute and it was the 12th minute before Spa registered a point but then added three more to leave the score at 1-6 to 0-4. However Crokes kicked on with O’Leary setting up Cian McMahon for a second goal as Crokes led 2-7 to 0-6. Spa never threatened in the second half and Harry Potts scored Crokes third goal for a comfortable win.
