Jason Foley injury could see him miss Sam Maguire group phase

The Munster finalists play their opening game of the All-Ireland SFC group phase on the weekend of May 18/19 with no guarantees the Ballydonoghue defender will be back in harness by then.

Kerry football selector Diarmuid Murphy has admitted that Jason Foley could miss the early rounds of the Sam Maguire group phase.

Ankle ligament damage sustained during last weekend’s League win over Roscommon has ruled the 2022 All-Star full-back out of the upcoming Munster SFC, but Murphy said Foley’s period of absence might not end at provincial level.
