Cleary: We are better than that

PENSIVE: Cork manager John Cleary after his side's defeat in Ballybofey.

Donegal certainly made an impression on Cork manager John Cleary, who witnessed first-hand the returning Jim McGuinness.

Cork were beaten 1-20 to 2-6 in Ballybofey by a Donegal side who lined out their scoregetter-and-chief Oisin Gallen - out with a tight hamstring - and still won pulling up. The fingerprints of McGuinness’s intensity are already over his young team, with Cork only really playing in pockets of the contest.
