Cleary names a 36-man panel for the National League

Captain Brian Hurley lead Cork senior football manager John Cleary’s 36-man panel for the forthcoming Allianz Division 2 campaign.
The 31-year-old will again captain the team and Seán Meehan will be vice-captain. Cork travel to face Donegal in their opening round game in Ballybofey on Sunday.
Hurley and Rory Maguire are joined by two Castlehaven team-mates in Jack Cahalane and Cathal Maguire. Newcestown’s David Buckley and Darragh Cashman (Millstreet) are also in the squad.
Meanwhile, Tipperary have issued their 40-man squad for their Division 4 campaign. Steven O’Brien leads the county in 2024 with Paudie Feehan and Seán O’Connor named as joint vice-captains.
Naas goalkeeper Jack Rogers is included in the panel while county champions Clonmel Commercials have a seven-strong representation including O’Connor and the three Kennedy brothers, Colman, Conal and Jack. Thurles Sarsfields’ dual player Paddy Creedon is also selected.
Meanwhile, Peter Harte has been confirmed as Tyrone’s captain for 2024. The Errigal Ciarán man takes over from Pádraig Hampsey, while midfielder Brian Kennedy will be Harte’s vice-skipper.
