Cork never let go of Kerry. They trailed by four late in the first half. They were twice behind on the run in for home. But they never stopped coming up with answers and replies.

A week out from their Division 2 league opener away to Donegal, it was this element of their McGrath Cup final penalties victory that most pleased manager John Cleary.
