INCLUDED: Conor Corbett of Cork.

Cork senior football boss John Cleary has named his side to take on Colm O'Rourke's Meath at Páirc Uí Chaoimh this Saturday.

Cork GAA are gearing up for a special event to commemorate the life and career of one of its greatest-ever sons; 1990 double-winner Teddy McCarthy.

In honour of late Sars man McCarthy, Saturday will see a rare inter-county double header take place as the Galway hurlers also travel to Leeside to face Cork.

Cleary has named a strong side - containing six of the team that lost out to Derry in this year's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final - for the pre-season tribute match, but is without the Munster club final-bound Castlehaven contingent.

Knocknagree's Pa Doyle starts between the sticks, with Maurice Shanley named at full-back. Shanley is flanked by Kevin Flahive, who has recovered from an ACL injury and Mallow's Matty Taylor.

Millstreet and Duhallow middle-third player Darragh Cashman gets the nod at right-wing-back, while Sean Powter will operate from the opposite wing.

Clonakilty veteran Tom Clancy anchors the Cork defence. Kanturk's Paul Walsh partners Ian Maguire in midfield, while Dohenys' Fionn Herlihy mans the 40.

Eoghan McSweeney and Tadhg MacCarthaigh club man Brian O'Driscoll occupy the wing-forward berths.
