The benefits of the new Allianz Hurling League format for 2025 will be realised in 2024, according to the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) chairman Derek Kent.

With only the top three from each of Division 1’s Group A and B qualifying for the new seven-team Division 1A, Leinster chair Kent anticipates an improved competition when it begins at the start of February.
