Cutting costs may be considered doing what is right but at the expense of hurling? Because that’s exactly what would be lost by cutting the representatives from the league.

Awkward because those counties’ hurlers must feel their own have turned against them. Anybody believing that the proposal to remove them from the Allianz Hurling League was tabled without members of their executives first agreeing to it would be shortsighted. Officials in Leitrim and Louth articulated their support last week.
