Micheal 'Haulie' O'Sullivan to manage Cork minors in 2024
Micheal 'Haulie' O'Sullivan has been confirmed by his club, Carbery Rangers, as the new Cork minor football manager for 2024.
Former midfielder O'Sullivan (46) has been promoted through the system from the U16 manager to the minors. He replaces Eire Og's Ray O'Mahony, who has stepped up to take the county's Under 20 footballers next year, alongside Michael O'Brien, who preceded O'Mahony as Cork minor boss.
'Haulie' O'Sullivan had a long and distinguished playing career with his native Rosscarbery and with Cork before taking over as manager of the west Cork club nine years ago. He has furthered his coaching credentials via Cork's under age programme.Â
In a tweet Monday, Carbery Rangers posted: "Congratulations to Carbery Rangers'Â MicheĂĄl 'Haulie' O'Sullivan who is the Cork minor football manager for 2024. Best wishes and every success to Haulie in his new role."
Cork beat Kerry in the Munster MFC before losing to the Kingdom in the provincial final in Tralee. They bowed out in frustrating circumstances at the hands of Dublin in Nowlan Park in the All-Ireland quarter-final.
Meanwhile Joe Quaid will return as Limerick camogie manager in 2024, along with his backroom team, the county's Camogie Board has confirmed.
