Former Galway and Nemo Rangers stalwart Seamus Leydon passes away 

"Seamus’s outstanding achievements with Dunmore MacHales and Galway are well documented and his place in the pantheon of great Gaelic footballers is secured," the Galway club posted on Facebook.

The death has taken place of Galway All-Ireland three-in-a-row star Seamus Leydon.

The Dunmore MacHales native was left corner-forward on the first ever All-Star team in 1971.
