Paul O'Keeffe has stepped down from his role as St Finbarr's senior football boss.

O'Keeffe - in charge of the Togher outfit for the last five years - steps away having won Cork premier senior honours in 2021, before losing out to rivals Nemo Rangers in the 2022 decider.

Having taken over for the 2019 campaign after Ray Keane had guided the Barr's to the 2018 county, O'Keeffe ensured the city side dined at the top table for the coming years.

O'Keeffe's Barr's had come into this year as favourites to win the Andy Scannell Cup. Their Division 1 league triumph, coupled with the ease at which they negotiated their way to a county semi-final only strengthened that favourites tag.

However, it was not to be as they were knocked out in the semi-finals of the 2023 edition by a determined Castlehaven outfit.

O'Keeffe also holds roles with the Barr's senior hurlers (team doctor) and minor footballers, as well as the UCC Sigerson Cup team.
