Moynihan named Galway ladies boss as 'legal matter' delays McHale's Mayo appointment

The news follows reports that the appointments committee recommendation of Liam McHale had been rejected by the Mayo executive before he was asked to rejoin the race.

Daniel Moynihan is the new Galway ladies football manager, but a legal matter has further delayed Mayo’s appointment of a new boss.

Ballinasloe native Moynihan was ratified as Galway manager on Monday evening. He led the county to All-Ireland minor glory earlier this year. He succeeds Maghnus Breathnach and Fiona Wynne who had served as joint managers.
