Duggan primed for 'intimidating' shinty showdown 

Duggan is approaching the international encounter with equal parts excitement and trepidation. Those are big sticks that the shinty lads wield.

Kieran Kingston, one of the Ireland selectors, presumably had July's All-Ireland semi-final in mind when he called up Peter Duggan for hurling/shinty international duty.

The big full-forward will line out for Damien Coleman's Ireland against Scotland in Newry today and undoubtedly will be a marked man.
