Don't blame players for spiralling team costs, insists GPA chief

Gaelic Players Association (GPA) chief executive Tom Parsons says inter-county players are being unfairly targeted as the reason for growing amounts of money being spent on preparing teams.
In his address to the inter-county players body’s AGM in Portlaoise on Saturday, as total spending on squads possibly hits €35 million this year, the former Mayo midfielder suggests the players might be the only stakeholders in inter-county set-ups that aren’t being paid.
