Gearóid Hegarty misses out but 14 All-Star nominations for Limerick

Three Limerick players are nominated for the Player of the Year award

Limerick’s Mike Casey and Diarmaid Byrnes tackle TJ Reid of Kilkenny

All-Ireland senior hurling champions Limerick have claimed 14 PwC All-Star nominations, three of whom have been shortlisted for hurler of the year.

Last season’s victor Diarmaid Byrnes is in the running again alongside his team-mates Kyle Hayes, who was previously nominated in 2021, and Aaron Gillane. Of the team that began the All-Ireland final win over Kilkenny in July, only 2020 hurler of the year Gearóid Hegarty is absent.
