Such a famed and successful club as Dr Crokes are never happy when they lose a match. Yet there were certainly encouraging signs in last weekend’s two-point reversal to Dingle that should stand them in good stead as they face into a win-or-bust situation on Saturday.

Staring down the barrel of a gun heading into their second group stage encounter of the Kerry SFC against Na Gaeil at Killeen on Saturday afternoon (2.30pm), the 13-times champions are fully aware that a second successive defeat is likely to lead to an unthinkable championship exit.
