Former Irish rugby international joins Henry Shefflin’s backroom team at Galway

Former Irish rugby international Johnny O’Connor has joined Henry Shefflin’s Galway hurling backroom team as the county’s new head of strength and conditioning.

O’Connor’s official title, as revealed by Galway Bay FM, will be lead athletic development coach, replacing Lukasz Kirszenstein who had worked with the Galway hurlers since their All-Ireland winning 2017 season.
