The weekday championship game. As old as the hills in the metropolis of Dublin where ease of transport has made it possible but growing in popularity across the country.

Last week, and for the first time, Limerick branched out as far as Wednesday in hosting championship games as a certain wedding of a certain multiple All-Ireland SHC winning captain in Adare that Friday prompted requests to switch.
