Opening weekend

The opening and mouth watering weekend of live Championship action on irishexaminer.com begins this Friday night when county and Munster football champions St Finbarr’s take on arguably the most improved side in the football championship, Eire Óg, in an enticing Premier SFC kickstarter.

On Saturday the action moves to the Senior A Football Championship where the perennial nearly men, St Michael’s GFC, take on John Fintan Daly’s Knocknagree at Carrigadrohid in a dangerous opener for them.

While on Sunday the action returns with another juicy Premier SFC clash in the football hotbed of west Cork as last year’s beaten finalists Clonakilty, meet Castlehaven in Rosscarbery at 7pm.

It is time for Cork GAA fans to make sure they don't miss the action by signing up or signing in.
