The GAA’s Central Council last night endorsed the rules advisory committee’s (RAC) stance that disciplinary decisions taken by email are consistent with the rules of the organisation.

An emergency meeting of Central Council had been called by GAA director general Tom Ryan to agree on a formal interpretation based on the RAC's advice. Over two-thirds of Ard Chomhairle voted in favour of the proposal.
