Tadhg Morley has failed in his attempt to have a proposed one-match ban overturned and will miss Kerry’s Division 1 semi-final against Tyrone on June 12.

The Templenoe man was sent off seconds after coming on as a sub against Roscommon last Sunday when he made contact with Ciarán Murtagh.

Morley put his argument to the Central Hearings Committee, but was unsuccessful and will sit out the game in Killarney.

However, he does still have the option of putting a case to the Central Appeals Committee.
