Allianz League Review: Play-off vital for suspended stars

The Cork-Kilkenny ‘relegation play-off’ is set to go ahead this weekend if only to ensure suspended players don’t serve their bans in the first round of the provincial championships.

Seamus Harnedy and Conor Delaney are expected to pick up one-match suspensions for their straight red cards which would carry over into the Championship were they not to play the game, which Brian Cody had described as “futile”.
