Gaelic Players Association chief executive Dermot Earley has stepped down from his role.

Gaelic Players Association chief executive Dermot Earley has stepped down from his role in order to resume his career with the Defence Forces.

The former Kildare midfielder succeeded Dessie Farrell last February and says the decision was "difficult" but the "right one".

GPA chairman Seamus Hickey will take interim charge until a successor is appointed.
