Former Dublin All-Ireland football winning manager Pat Gilroy had been chosen to manage the capital's senior hurlers, writes Stephen Barry.

Details of the full management team will be announced shortly, but former Galway boss Anthony Cunningham is rumoured to be included in Gilroy's team.
