Mayo team costs increase by €750k but Board continue to run a surplus

Mayo’s team administration expenses have hit €1.6m.

Mayo’s team administration expenses have increased by €750,000 in the past year to €1.6m, although the County Board still managed to return a surplus of €87,000, writes Stephen Barry.

The westerners offset the 47% increase in total expenditure, driven by increasing costs in funding the inter-county teams, match expenses and games development, with a 44% rise in total income, due to large increases in commercial income, fundraising activities and transfer income.
