Scotland GAA are preparing for a first All-Ireland final appearance, after their Ladies Gaelic Football team overcame a tough Derry team in the semi-final of the LGFA Junior competition.

Despite the challenge posed by the Ulster side the Scottish team were not to be denied and they will now take on Louth in the TG4 Junior All Ireland Final.

Afterwards they talked about getting the chance to play in Croke Park.

“It’s surreal’, said Tyrone-born Shauna McWilliams. “It’s a dream to get there.

“It feels funny to even say we’re playing for Scotland but the girls from Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh have shown that we have ability’.”

Former Cushendall and Antrim camogie player Bronagh Heggarty only took up football in Scotland and described the semi-final win as: “unbelievable.. a proud day for the players and our families”.
