WATCH: AFL club's Irish Twitter parade to announce Tyrone footballer's debut

It started with a bold claim about Pierce Brosnan. We love the guy, but think Sean Connery and Daniel Craig fans may beg to differ on this one.

…...before the inevitable nod to our beautiful countryside.

Followers were starting to spot a trend, which this post confirmed….

..and other accounts started getting in on the Irish invasion.

The good news - former Tyrone minor footballer Conor McKenna will make his senior AFL debut for Essendon this weekend.

The 19-year-old, who has been with the club since late last year, will make his senior debut on Saturday night against Richmond. His parents are flying out from Tyrone to attend the match.

Congratulations Conor, the latest in a long line of GAA stars to turn their skills to the Australian game.
