Ladies Poc Fada winner accuses Ulster GAA of 'sexism'
Catherine McGourty, who recently won the ladies Ulster GAA Poc Fada competition, has said she is "disappointed" by Ulster GAA after her win.
Controversy followed the competition on Hen mountain as the winner of the men's Poc Fada, Patrick McKillion, received a skiing holiday while McGourty only received a medal for winning the women's equivalent.
Ulster camogie chiefs explained afterwards that the men’s prize was organized by the GAA along with two sponsors.
Ms McGourty said: "It came as a shock that they can do this, it's totally sexist."
Gaelic Life stepped in afterwards to offer McGourty a €500 holiday voucher.
At @Gaelic_Life we felt @Katiemcg12 was hard done by. So, we decided to do something about it. Enjoy your holiday!http://t.co/Asnb601N5g

Speaking to Brendan O’Connor this morning, McGourty said: "This is not about a holiday; it’s about standing up for women in sport.
@Gaelic_Life @Katiemcg12 well done to all involved.... Decency prevails

"It’s the principle of it, the Ulster GAA should not be doing this.
"We did the exact same route as the men so I was disappointed in the way we have been treated."
The event which took place in Co Down is a lead in competition to the National Poc Fada on August 1 in Louth.
