Daniels out for the whole of the hurling championship

Waterford's hurlers have received a massive blow ahead of the Championship with defender Stephen Daniels ruled out for the entire campaign.

The De Le Salle defender broke a bone in his knee during a challenge match with Offaly on Friday night.

Michael Ryan's side open their Munster campaign against Clare on June 2, with the winners playing Cork.
