Reigning champions Cork relinquished their grip on the McGrath Cup as they fell to a surprise 2-9 to 1-9 defeat at home to Tipperary this afternoon.

Tipp manager and Cork native Peter Creedon got one up on his county men, as the Premier County launched their 2013 campaign with a superb quarter-final win at Páirc Uí Rinn.
