Leitrim bosses stick with winning formula

Leitrim will field an unchanged team when they take on visitors Laois at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers tomorrow night.

Joint-managers Barney Breen and George Dugdale have backed the same 15 players who started last weekend's historic second round win over Wicklow.

That 0-13 to 0-10 success was founded on an infectiously high work-rate and some assured shooting with Leitrim hitting only four wides during the game.

Emlyn Mulligan led the scoring with 0-6 and he will take up his position once again at centre-forward, flanked by Paul Brennan and Paddy McGowan.

Leitrim have never met Laois before at Championship level, and Breen admitted to the Leitrim Observer that his unfancied team are in 'bonus territory' now.

"I suppose if we're honest and without sounding negative, we're in bonus territory now and we're going to treat it as an adventure from here on in," he said.

"I'm not being flippant what I say that, we're approaching it as an adventure and if we get beaten, we will have given it our best shot."

LEITRIM (SFC v Laois): Cathal McCrann; Alan Wynne, Fabian McMorrow, Paddy Maguire (capt); Colm Clarke, Enda Williams, Daniel Beck; Darren Sweeney, Shane Moran; Paul Brennan, Emlyn Mulligan, Paddy McGowan; Ray Cox, James Glancy, Kevin Conlon.
