Limerick hurler Hickey set to return next week

Seamus Hickey is set to return to the Limerick senior hurling panel next week, thus missing out on the Shannonsiders' Division 1B final against Clare this Saturday.

Hickey has missed all of the Shannonsiders' 2012 Allianz Hurling League games to date due to his studies in America.

Limerick manager John Allen has confirmed that Hickey will go straight into the squad and be available for the upcoming Championship campaign.

The Murroe-Boher clubman left Ireland in February to pursue his academic career.

Should Limerick beat Clare this weekend, they will face a Division 1 semi-final against Kilkenny the following Sunday, although Hickey is unlikely to feature in this game, given his lack of match practice.
