A draw for Fermanagh leaves Warwickshire the only winners

Warwickshire were the only winners in Allianz Hurling League Division 3B this afternoon, after Fermanagh's tie with Longford was postponed.

The Exiles were impressive in their 2-20 to 2-10 victory over hosts Leitrim at Ballinamore.

Warwickshire led by 2-9 to 1-5 at half-time with Mike Ivors and Daire Maskey netting the visitors' goals.

Ivors top-scored with 1-7 and Maskey scored 1-1 in a game which saw eight players on target for Warwickshire.

This latest triumph - Warwickshire's second in the three-match league run - has guaranteed them a place in the Division 3B decider and a shot at promotion.

Fermanagh, who beat the Exiles by 0-14 to 1-10 in the opening round, will provide the opposition in the upcoming final as they will finish as table toppers.

Frank Browne's career as the new Longford senior hurling manager got off to a bad start today. The midlanders failed to field enough players for their tie with Fermanagh at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.

Longford were forced to withdraw from the encounter after they were only able to have 10 players available for the game.
