Fermanagh, Clare, Leitrim and Limerick all chalked up wins in Division 4 of the Football League this weekend.

This afternoon at Brewster Park, home side Fermanagh maintained their unbeaten run with a 0-11 to 0-9 win over Wicklow.

Seamus Quigley once again impressed for the Erne County side, who led by 0-8 to 0-5 at the interval.

Wicklow missed two clear-cut goal chances in the opening half with Leighton Glynn first sending an effort off the crossbar, and Seanie Furlong then hitting a subsequent effort off the post.

The visitors cut the gap to two points on the restart following a Furlong score, but Fermanagh were always on top in the second half. Quigley cemented the result with an insurance point late on.

At Dr Cullen Park, the only goal of the contest proved key as Clare secure an impressive away win over Carlow on a 1-12 to 0-14 scoreline.

Carlow took control in the first half and led by 0-9 to 0-6 at the interval with Derek Hayden among their first half scorers.

However, Clare worked hard in the second half with the likes of David Tubridy taking impressive scores. The visitors never gave up and a 68th minute Rory Donnelly goal ensuring a Banner victory.

Leitrim, meanwhile, ran out a 1-10 to 0-8 winners over London at Carrick-on-Shannon this afternoon.

The hosts led by 1-4 to 0-4 at the interval, and extended their lead to five points in as many second half minutes.

The sides were well balanced during the closing half an hour, sharing eight points as Leitrim held out for their second league win.

The Kilkenny footballers' woes continued yesterday when Limerick hammered them by 1-30 to 0-1 at Newcastlewest.

The hosts led by 1-15 to 0-0 at half-time, with top scorer Ian Ryan (1-7) netting their goal.

Midfielder Kieran Bergin landed Kilkenny's lone score of the game nine minutes from the end.
