All-Ireland Senior Camogie champions Wexford and beaten finalists Galway received six All-Star awards apiece at the eighth annual O'Neills Camogie All-Stars at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.
The event was attended by special guest, All-Ireland winning hurling manager Brian Cody, while JJ Doyle, who led Wexford to All-Ireland Senior and Intermediate success in September, was named as the O'Neills Manager of the Year.
Winning Wexford captain Ursula Jacob, defensive duo Claire O'Connor and Catherine O'Loughlin and forwards Una Leacy, Katrina Parrock and Kate Kelly all finished the season with a second consecutive All-Star award.
Galway's inspirational centre-back Therese Maher, Ann-Marie Hayes and Lorraine Ryan took three of the defensive slots, while Galway goalkeeper Susan Earner collected her first All-Star award.
The westerners' captain Brenda Hanney gained a place in the full-forward line with midfielder Niamh Kilkenny taking a centrefield berth.
The remaining positions on the All-Stars team were filled by Munster players with Cork's Anna Geary once again securing the wing-back spot, while Jennifer O'Leary topped off a fine campaign with an award at wing-forward. Tipperary midfielder Jill Horan was chosen in midfield.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, President of the Camogie Association Joan O'Flynn said: "This tops off another fantastic year for Camogie as the country's leading players take centre stage.
"Congratulations to all of those who received a nomination and to those who were awarded an All-Star, Soaring Star and Intermediate Soaring Star. In addition, congratulations to the 2011 O'Neills Manager of the Year, JJ Doyle, on his wonderful achievement of leading two teams to All Ireland glory."
