Dublin prepares to welcome All-Ireland heroes

A ceremony is to take place in the city centre this evening to celebrate Dublin's win over Kerry yesterday in the All-Ireland football final.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the event which is taking place in Merrion Square at 7pm.

Gardaí say parking restrictions are in place on Merrion Square South and East and also on Fitzwilliam Street Lower and Mount Street Upper.

They will remain in place until the celebrations finish at around 9.30pm tonight.
