Whelan hits out at Murphy sending off

Ciaran Whelan has said that referee Marty Duffy made a very bad call in sending off Donegal's Michael Murphy in Sunday's Ulster SFC clash with Cavan.

The former Dublin midfielder believes Murphy's challenge on Damien Reilly was not even a yellow-card offense, and thinks the CCCC should reverse the decision when it hears Donegal's appeal.

Whelan has less sympathy for Cavan's Ray Cullivan however, who was sent off in the seventh minute of the same game.
