ROUNDUP: Lory Meagher Cup

Donegal, Tyrone and Warwickshire claimed wins in the Lory Meagher Cup today.

At O'Donnell Park in Letterkenny, hosts Donegal had plenty to spare in a 3-18 to 2-08 triumph over Fermanagh.

Sean Corrigan fired home Fermanagh's first half goal, with Ryan Bogue netting a penalty for the Ernesiders in the second half, but it was not enough.

Tyrone also recorded a home victory as the Red Hands emerged as 2-14 to 1-09 winners over South Down at Healy Park in Omagh.

Tyrone led by 1-09 to 0-06 at half-time with Conor Grugan netting a 14th minute penalty goal following a foul on Peter O'Connor.

South Down raised their game on the restart. A Liam Morgan point reduced the arrears to four points with eight minutes left on the clock.

A Cathal McErlain goal put Tyrone back in the driving seat, making it 2-11 to 0-09 late on.

South Down refused to give up with Eoghan McGuinness pouncing on a breaking ball, after Michael Cunningham was denied by a John Devlin save.

However, McGuinness' goal cam too late for South Down as Tyrone held on for a seven-point win.

Meanwhile, Warwickshire were 4-11 to 2-11 winners over Leitrim at Sean McDermott Park this afternoon.
