Louth maintained their unbeaten run in Division 3B of the Allianz Hurling League, while there were wins also for Roscommon and Donegal.

A Diarmuid O'Sullivan goal, 10 seconds into the second half, was the difference between the sides as Louth registered a 1-14 to 0-14 victory over Fingal at Swords.

John M Sheridan grabbed four first half points for Fingal as they took an 0-08 to 0-04 interval lead.

However, Louth responded well on the restart, thanks to O'Sullivan's goal, and added four points without reply to go 1-08 to 0-08 ahead by the 45th minute. Gerard Smyth top-scored for the visitors with eight points.

Johnny Coyne netted Roscommon's lone goal in their 1-19 to 1-10 triumph over Connacht rivals Sligo at Athleague.

Roscommon stormed into a 1-11 to 0-06 interval lead, but had to dig deep on the restart as Sligo made a comeback.

Declan Loughnane, who finished with 1-02, scored a goal for the visitors on the restart, with Keith Raymond (0-05) also in fine form. But Roscommon held on for their second win of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Donegal were 3-12 to 1-14 winners over Monaghan at Clones in the day's other game.
