Dublin and Kerry name strong sides for League clash
Dublin manager Pat Gilroy and his Kerry counterpart Jack O'Connor have named strong line-ups for tomorrow's Allianz Football League Division 1 tie at Croke Park (throw-in 7.30pm)
Gilroy has retained the 15 players who were on duty for last weekend's win over All-Ireland champions Cork at GAA headquarters.
Sean Murray and James McCarthy, both of whom played for the Dublin Under-21s in the Leinster Championship defeat to Meath in midweek, continue at full-back and centre-back respectively.
Defender Ger Brennan has returned to training, and may feature for the Metropolitans as a substitute tomorrow evening. He damaged ankle ligaments last month in the O'Byrne Shield decider against Meath at Parnell Park.
However, Saturday's game is set to come too soon for the injured Philly McMahon, Ross McConnell and Eamon Fennell. The trio, who are absent due to foot and hip injuries, are not expected to feature in Gilroy's plans until next month.
Meanwhile, Kerry boss O'Connor has named a strong if experimental line-up. The Kingdom selectors have decided to try out Bryan Sheehan at midfield alongside Seamus Scanlon.
David Moran, who bagged 1-06 in UL's recent Sigerson Cup win over DIT, will move from midfield to attack. Gary O'Driscoll is the player to lose out.
O'Connor has also opted for strength in defence with Tomas O Se and Killian Young included as replacements for Jonathan Lyne and Shane Enright.
Both teams go into this game on the back of wins last weekend. Kerry accounted for Mayo thanks to a late penalty goal, while Dublin remain the only unbeaten side in the division following victories over Armagh and Cork.
