Gallagher added to Donegal management team
Rory Gallagher looks set to have ended his inter-county career with Fermanagh, after being installed as a member of the Donegal senior football management.
Gallagher, who won an All-Ireland club SFC title with Antrim side St. Gall's last year, is set to be Jimmy McGuinness' assistant.
He has been brought into the Tir Chonaill set-up as a coach and was introduced to the players by McGuinness at a training session last night.
The Belcoo native is currently living in Killybegs and has worked with the underage teams of Dublin club St. Brigid's in the past.
Gallagher replaces Peter McGinley in the backroom team, after he withdrew himself from the management set-up recently due to work commitments.
McGuinness, who guided the Donegal Under-21s to an All-Ireland final appearance last year, takes charge of his first competitive game with the seniors this weekend.
Donegal travel to Omagh to take on Tyrone in the opening game of their Dr. McKenna Cup defence on Sunday.
