Waterford GAA chiefs have confirmed that Davy Fitzgerald received a new one-year term at the head of the county’s senior hurlers as was reported in yesterday’s Irish Examiner.

A number of other media outlets claimed yesterday the Clare native had been given a deal for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
