Down unchanged for final

Down manager James McCartan has gone with an unchanged team for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final against Cork at Croke Park (throw-in 3.30pm).

Regular captain Ambrose Rogers has missed out on a place in the starting line-up, owing to his well-documented cruciate knee ligament injury.

Rogers has been named among the substitutes, with Peter Fitzpatrick retained in midfield alongside Kalum King.

Speaking in the build-up to the final, McCartan said: "With 10 or 15 minutes to go, we might need a lift and if he's fit and able, we'll look in Ambrose's direction."

There is a positional switch in the attack as the experienced Benny Coulter shifts to wing forward and Paul McComiskey joins the Clarke brothers in the full-forward line.

Despite failing to score against both Kerry and Kildare, John Clarke will start once again at full-forward. He has held off Ronan Murtagh and Conor Maginn for the starting berth.
