Newspaper reports confirming the retirement of three inter-county hurlers - Waterford's Tony Browne and Kilkenny duo Michael Kavanagh and James Ryall - have been rubbished by official sources.

Browne, the long-serving Deise defender, said that he has yet to make a decision either way on whether he will commit to his 20th season of top level hurling.
