Semple Stadium confirmed as U21 final venue
Semple Stadium will host the 2010 Bord Gáis Energy All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship final between Galway and Tipperary next month.
Due to Tipperary's qualification for the final, there had been doubts over whether or not the Thurles venue would be used for the decider on September 11, but the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) today ruled that the game will go ahead at the 53,500 capacity ground.
It means that Semple Stadium is set to host the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship final for the first time since 2006.
The clash will have a 7pm start, and the game will be shown live on TG4.
The referees and other officials for the fixture has yet to be confirmed by the CCCC.
