Four changes for Tyrone

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has made four changes in personnel from the side which beat Down for Sunday’s GAA Ulster Senior Football Championship Final against Monaghan in Clones (2pm).

Three of the changes are in defence with Davy Harte, Ryan McMenamin and Cathal McCarron coming into the side, while Tommy McGuigan is added to the Red Hand attack.

There are two changes to the Tyrone full-back line, with McCarron making his Championship debut in the right corner.

The Dromore clubman comes into the side in place of Martin Swift, who had been suffering from a hamstring problem in recent weeks.

McMenamin starts in the left-corner in place of Dermot Carlin.

There is one change on the half-back line, with Davy Harte replacing his cousin Peter on the right wing, with Conor Gormley and Philip Jordan making up the Tyrone defence.

Colm Cavanagh and Kevin Hughes are retained at midfield, as are Brian Dooher, Sean Cavanagh and Joe McMahon on the half-forward line.

McGuigan comes in for Stephen O’Neill who sustained a bruised heel in the 0-14 to 0-10 win over Down.

Martin Penrose and Owen Mulligan complete the full-forward line.

Tyrone have beaten Monaghan in three of their last four Championship meetings, including the 2007 Ulster decider, with Mickey Harte’s side prevailing by 1-15 to 1-13.
