Croke Park to host Leinster SFC double-header

The GAA's Leinster Council has confirmed that both of this year's Leinster Senior Football Championship semi-finals will take place at Croke Park as part of a tasty double header.

Only the semi-final involving the winners of this Sunday's quarter-finals - Laois v Meath and Dublin v Wexford - had initially been fixed for GAA headquarters on Sunday, June 27.

The Westmeath v Louth semi-final was originally scheduled to take place the previous day with a 4pm start at either Parnell Park, Portlaoise, Navan or Tullamore.

However, following consultations with all parties involved, the game will now take place at Croke Park on June 27 with a 5.50pm throw-in time.

The fixture will be televised live by RTE, while TV3 will show the first semi-final - Laois/Meath v Dublin/Wexford - live at 4pm.

The Leinster Junior Football Championship final, which will see either Meath or Cavan take on Dublin or Kildare, is also scheduled to take place at Croke Park on the day.
