Former president of the GAA, Pat Fanning, has died.

Former president of the GAA, Pat Fanning, has died.

The Waterford man served as president of the association between 1970 and 1973.

He took over with the country in crisis as the troubles were breaking out in the North and presided over the GAA's decision to lift the ban which forbade players from playing foreign games.
