Antrim secure narrow victory against Carlow
Antrim 1-11 Carlow 2-7
Liam Watson landed the match-winning point for Antrim as they got the better of Carlow in their NHL Division 2 opener at Casement Park this afternoon.
Carlow showed their battling qualities, coming back from leaking an early Martin Scullion goal, to trail by 1-6 to 1-4 at half-time.
Craig Doyle netted for the visitors, shortly before the break.
A goal from top scorer Paudie Kehoe (1-3) got Carlow back level but the Saffrons, who were without their Dunloy players, won out thanks to four-point hero Watson.
